From ancient history to breathtaking scenery, our tour takes in the bustling cities and peaceful countryside of the South West. Arthurian legend, art, architecture and awe-inspiring coastal views are all part of the journey as we wind our way from Wiltshire to the far tip of England where it meets the Atlantic Ocean. On your return you will enjoy visits to the mystical town of Glastonbury and metropolises that buzz with activity day and night.

TOUR DETAILS

DAY 1 - Stonehenge, Salisbury and Winchester/Southampton

Spend the early morning relaxing in comfort as you are driven by coach from your London airport to the prehistoric monument of Stonehenge. Marvel at the magnificence of the spiritual stone formation before indulging in a visit to the beautiful city of Salisbury with its perfectly preserved early Gothic cathedral. We end the day in the charming surroundings of Winchester. Dinner and an overnight stay in Winchester, Southampton or surroundings

DAY 2 - Winchester, The Jurassic Coast, Corfe Castle and Dartmoor

After some morning sightseeing including Winchester’s imposing cathedral and The Great Hall, home to King Arthur’s legendary Round Table, we travel to the picturesque county of Dorset. There we enjoy the splendid scenery of The Jurassic Coast and visit the village of Corfe Castle. We then move on and explore the natural beauty of Dartmoor National Park in Devon. Dinner and an overnight stay in Devon

DAY 3 - Tintagel Castle, The Lost Gardens of Heligan, Looe, Polperro and Plymouth

Indulge in Arthurian legend with a visit to Tintagel Castle in Cornwall where you can breathe in the sea breeze and discover Merlin’s Cave when the tide is low. Later you will have the chance to explore The Lost Gardens of Heligan and enjoy the stunning surroundings of Looe and Polperro. Dinner and an overnight stay in Plymouth or surroundings

DAY 4 - St. Michael’s Mount, Land’s End and St Ives

We visit the village of Marazion’s famous attraction – the rocky isle crowned by a medieval church and castle, St Michael’s Mount. We make our way to the most westerly point of mainland Britain, Land’s End, where the Atlantic Ocean laps at its shores. End the day in the pretty town of St Ives, which has been an artistic hub for centuries. Dinner and an overnight stay in Cornwall

DAY 5 - Exeter, Glastonbury, Wells and Bristol

You can delight in the busy city of Exeter and the mystical atmosphere of Glastonbury before continuing to the medieval town of Wells. There you will stop by its magnificent Gothic cathedral which is sure to interest architecture aficionados. We then travel to Bristol for a short panoramic tour of this lively metropolis. Dinner and an overnight stay in Bristol or surroundings

DAY 6 - Bath

This elegant city, which has been declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site, has plenty for all to enjoy from the Roman Baths and Pulteney Bridge to its excellent offering of shops, cafés and restaurants. We then set off in time to travel back to your London airport for you to catch your evening flight home.
